History – The Rixey name in Cape May County
We have been serving the Jersey Cape since 1967. Joseph W. Rixey Jr. started Rixey Real Estate Agency on the North Wildwood Blvd. in 1967 at the family home. In 1971, he purchased the Joseph Douglass Real Estate Agency in Cape May Court House, making the office the “oldest real estate office in Middle Township. Joseph W. Rixey Jr. retired in 1993 proudly leaving the business in the hands of his sons, Bob, Jim and Rick. Bob passed away in 2020 and the remaining partners, Jim and Rick decided to sell the business and merge with Cape May Real Estate Brokers. The Rixey name stands for honesty and integrity and has stood the test of time. We remain committed to this motto working as The Rixey Team.
